Almost everything published about AI visibility is opinion. These are measurements: we sweep whole categories with the official Google Places API and compare them against what an assistant with web search actually names and cites.
We publish the method and the limits of each one, including the errors we found afterwards. The Google figures are verifiable at any time by anyone with access to the same API.
We compared Google's real ranking — 1,147 verified businesses across four categories — with the businesses an AI assistant actually names. They are almost never the same.
